Lake Tahoe's Concours d’Elegance Returns
Lake Tahoe’s premier wooden boat show is returning on August 12th and 13th 2022 at Obexer’s Boat Company on the West Shore. The Concours d’Elegance celebrates the wooden boat lifestyle, with more than 70 of the world’s finest boats. Presented by the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation, it will showcase the most preserved and restored boats in the world.
THE ICONIC CHRIS-CRAFT
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Chris-Craft. Founded in 1884, the Chris Smith and Sons Boat Company first produced their charming Chris-Craft line of production runabouts in 1922. By 1929, they changed the name of the company to Chris-Craft.
Over the years, the Chris-Craft was the most recognized name in recreational motor boating, and was the largest producer of pleasure boats until the late 1960s. Boat shows feature these vintage boats across the United States, but nothing compares to seeing these gorgeous boats against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Tahoe.
